Dordoi Balykchy Plant: A New Benchmark for Kyrgyzstan’s Food Industry
On April 26, 2025, Ulan Eshmatov, Chair of the Board and President of the Kyrgyz Agricultural, Science and Environmental Journalists Association, visited the Dordoi Balykchy Plant as part of a familiarization trip. During the visit, he met with employees and toured the production facilities, highlighting the plant’s importance to the development of the Kyrgyz food industry.
Located in the city of Balykchy, just 180 km from Bishkek—the capital of Kyrgyzstan—the Dordoi Balykchy Plant is the largest meat processing facility in the Issyk-Kul region. Officially inaugurated in May 2024, the plant was constructed in full compliance with international food safety management standards, ensuring high-quality and safe production at every stage.
Currently, the facility is in the process of obtaining ISO 22000 certification, reaffirming its dedication to meeting global standards in food safety management systems.
Production Capabilities and Infrastructure
The plant complex is equipped with modern, high-capacity facilities, including:
- Refrigerated chambers for meat storage with a capacity of 100 tons
- Freezing chambers with a capacity of 100 tons
- A dedicated workshop for steak production and fermentation
- A meat injection workshop
- A meat deboning workshop with a capacity of 25 tons per shift
- A workshop for cooked and smoked sausages in both natural and artificial casings, with a capacity of 8 tons per shift
- A semi-finished products workshop (producing items such as dumplings, vareniki, etc.) with a capacity of up to 2 tons per shift
The facility is powered by a state-of-the-art technological line manufactured by the Italian company Rovani, enabling the production of a wide range of products that comply with international quality and food safety standards.







KAIEJA representatives visited the ‘Ak Kuu’ poultry farm
The Chairman and President of the Board of the Kyrgyz Agricultural, Science, and Environmental Journalists Association (KAIEJA), Ulan Eshmatov, along with board members Emilbek Momunov and Zairbek Baktybaev, visited the company and met with its General Director and Chairwoman of the Association of Poultry Breeders of Kyrgyzstan, Nurgul Malabaeva, as well as with the company’s workers. OJSC “Ak-Kuu” (Sokuluk Poultry Farm) was founded in 1966 as a state enterprise and was one of 12 poultry farms in the Kyrgyz Soviet Republic. It is located in the village of Sokuluk, 30 kilometers west of Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan.
